In the past year, may of us have gotten used to a blank social calendar. Now, though, we can get back together and enjoy shows! So, don’t forget to purchase your tickets for the upcoming Carolina Blues Festival 2021 on May 15!
More on the Carolina Blues Festival 2021
Each year, the Carolina Blues Festival celebrates the sounds, history, and culture of blues music. Kicking off all the way back in 1985, it has brought a total of 34 shows to town, counting this year’s.
It features performers from a variety of genres—including, of course, the previously mention blues. It will also showcase musicians strumming along to beach tunes and soul music as well!
What can I do at the Carolina Blues Festival?
You already know that you can look forward to some top-tier music! Even more fun awaits too. Attendees can:
- Enjoy drinks from the bar;
- Order tasty food from vendors; and
- Pick out souvenirs.
All about the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society
So, who do we have to thank for this local tradition? The Piedmont Blues Preservation Society! This dedicated nonprofit strives to share and preserve the blues music we all know and love—and some that we have yet to discover.
Their commitment to the arts doesn’t just end when the festival concludes. In fact, they also hold workshops, educational programs, and concerts throughout the year. That way, everyone in Guilford County—and visitors from beyond—can enjoy this enriching genre.
If you feel moved to support them, consider buying a membership here! Their dues are tax-deductible too.
