Winter Wonderlights at the Greensboro Science Center

Who’s ready to sparkle and shine this holiday season? Thanks to Winter Wonderlights at the Greensboro Science Center, it looks like it’s the zoo!

About Winter Wonderlights 2023

If you haven’t had the chance to visit Winter Wonderlights at the Greensboro Science Center yet this year, don’t panic! This family-friendly event is back and here to stay until December 31st. However, it is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Otherwise, visitors can expect a brilliant spectacle at Winter Wonderlights. As a matter of fact, there are four shows found within about 15 varying zones. The zones flow together, creating a truly one-of-a-kind light show.

Are you wondering what kind of holiday cheer you’ll see in lights? For one thing, expect the Greensboro Science Center to put a cutting-edge spin on things!

More about Winter Wonderlights

There’s a reason this event, which first shined bright in 2020, quickly became a holiday tradition. Not only do the twinkling displays shine brightly, but they also tie in the theme of beauty in science and nature.

When visitors step into the starry night area, for example, sight and sound combine with soft classical music and glowing lights that are a testament to the center’s outer space programming. Or, be delighted in the Wiseman Aquarium, where 18 massive jellyfish light the way.

Inside and out, there are plenty of things to see, hear and do, including the interactive snow wall and indoor sock-skating rink. Connect with the science center on Facebook or Instagram for more cool events and other news.
