It’s almost time for the Blues and Foods Market Renaissance season finale at the Renaissance Shops on Phillips Avenue on Sunday, Oct. 22nd, from 2 to 6 p.m.

About the Blues and Foods Market Renaissance

Hosted by the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society, the Blues and Foods Market Renaissance is wrapping up a fun season with the grand finale on Oct. 22nd. Make plans to attend this free event promoting the cultural arts and community engagement.

Listen to live music performed by The NuBeing Collective, Greensboro’s own eclectic jazz, hip-hop and R&B group. There will be games, market vendors, food vendors, community resources, a bounce house and more.

Don’t miss your chance to meet new neighbors, connect with local organizations and celebrate the arts. In fact, the season finale of the Blues and Food Market isn’t the non-profit’s only big event in October.

The Road to Memphis Blues Challenge

The Piedmont Blues Preservation Society is calling on the area’s best blues musicians to participate in the Road to Memphis Blues Challenge on Sunday, Oct 15th, from 3 to 6 p.m. That includes solo acts, duos, bands and youth performers.

A winner from each of those categories will go on to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis on Jan. 16th-20th, 2024! The Road to Memphis Blues Challenge in Greensboro will be held at Elm Street Lounge, located at 115 S. Elm St.
